Sunday the 19th of July 2026 – Starting from Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club, this sportive offers three beautifully designed routes – 25K, 50K, and 100K
Through quiet country lanes, rolling hills, and picturesque countryside. Whether you’re new to cycling or chasing a bigger challenge, each route delivers a rewarding ride with great scenery and a supportive atmosphere throughout. Expect well-marked courses, friendly riders, and a warm event HQ to return to. From a relaxed social spin to a full-distance test, it’s the perfect way to get out on the bike and enjoy the best of the region.
Our First Metric Sportive!
Kilometres! Switching to kilometres gives the ride a fun, continental feel, like you’ve rolled straight into a European sportive. It’s how most of the cycling world measures distance so it just feels right. Plus, those numbers tick by a bit quicker, which is always a nice little mental boost out on the road!
Online Entry
Online pre-entry allows you to get this event in your diary and is the easiest way to secure your place. Numbers are limited for this event and you will be saving yourself an admin fee if you enter online rather than paying on the day. Online pre-entry will also allow you to turn up on the day and just collect your entry pack without the hassle of filling in forms, registering and queuing up.
Newer to cycling or just fancy a more relaxed spin? The 25K route is a well-marked loop through beautiful countryside, it’s perfect for beginners, families, or anyone looking to soak up the atmosphere without pushing the limits. Expect friendly vibes, great views, and a warm welcome back at Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club.
If you’re after a rewarding ride, the 50K is your sweet spot. Carefully designed to capture the best of the local landscape, this route blends scenic country lanes with just enough elevation to make it feel earned. It’s ideal for intermediate riders or anyone stepping up their distance, with all the atmosphere and support of the main event—just in a slightly more manageable package.
The ultimate way to experience the rolling countryside around Bishop’s Stortford. The 100K route takes you deep into quiet lanes, ancient woodland, and sweeping farmland, with plenty of punchy climbs to keep things interesting. Expect long stretches of uninterrupted riding, stunning spring scenery, and that unbeatable sense of achievement as you roll back into the rugby club. This is one for riders who want a challenge without losing the joy of the ride.

On the Day Registration
People wishing to register on the day must fill out a registration form and pay for their cash entry. A form can be downloaded Here.
Other Information
We do our best to try and make sure your ride on the road runs as smoothly as possible by marking the roads clearly. If you have not seen a marker for a while, stop and, ask someone, or find a landmark and call us consult your ma using the number provided on the day.
Once you complete the ride, make sure you report back to one of our team at the finish line and hand back the timing chip. We’ll make sure your time is recorded. If you do not report back, you may be presumed lost and emergency services may be called.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory. Failing to do so will result in refused entry.
