France has some incredible landscapes that you just don’t get in Britain.
That’s why we really want to take some of you on some stunning rides in Swiss Normandy, renowned for its unspoilt landscape, valleys, woods, rivers and gorges.
We’ll be staying at a beautiful Château in the Calvados region of France, an area famous for its apple brandy, with surrounding roads that are really set up for cycling.
The price for three nights away is £400 based on 2 people sharing and £450 for a single room. Breakfast is included as well as mechanical support and gels, energy drink etc.
We’ll also carry your bag in the support vehicle so there’s no need to slow yourself down with panniers.
The Château has room for 10 people so it will be just us there.
If you would like to book a place, please send us an email with the subject “Cycle in France” to info@sportiveuk.co.uk.
Friday the 18th to Monday the 21st of September
Friday
We’ll meet at Portsmouth in the morning on Friday and take the Ferry to Ouistreham, it’s a 5 hour crossing so we’ll have time to get to know each other.
The ferry arrives at 3pm, we’ll disembark and cycle the 40 miles to Saint-Pierre-du-Regard where we’ll be staying.
We’ll get up and go for a 60 mile ride around the local countryside, stopping for lunch at a choice of local cafes and restaurants.
We’ll meet up for a meal in the evening.
Sunday
After breakfast we’ll go out for a 100 mile ride taking in some of the local climbs, covering around 8000 feet of climbing throughout the day, again there will be a choice of places where we can stop for lunch.
That evening we can talk about what a great day we had and try some of the local wine and beer!
Monday
Monday morning we’ll relax in the 32 acre grounds of the Château before cycling the 40 miles back to Ouistreham, we’ll take the 3pm ferry back to Portsmouth arriving Monday evening where we’ll say goodbye, hopefully having made some new friends.
